Mrs. Patricia R. Coleman, age 68, of Livingston, passed from this life on Monday evening, July 22, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Visitation for Elaine Ann McDermott, age 69, of Cookeville, will be held Monday from 5 – 8 p.m. at Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. She will be taken to Cincinnati for further services and interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. She passed away Saturday morning July 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 15, 1949 in Erlanger, KY to the late Bernard Lawrence and Ann Behler Tobergte. Elaine was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Funeral Services for Mrs. Velma Kathleen Hollars Deck, age 95, of Livingston will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Slayton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Kathleen went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, July 19, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. She was born May 18, 1924 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Elmer & Mary Masters Hollars. Kathleen loved cooking for her friends and family anytime she could. She made wonderful works of art with needle and thread, and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services for Mr. Ralph L Benningfield, 92 of Sparta, will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Tim Bumbalough and James Hickey officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will held Monday, July 22 from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Benningfield was born to the late Sammie T. and the late Rinnie Short Benningfield in Taylor County, Kentucky on July 19, 1927. He passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Addeane Howell Smith, age 89 of Sparta, will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 4:00 pm at Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta, TN and officiating will be Bro. Clint Walker and grandson Jonathan Smith. Interment will follow in the Elrod Cemetery. Pallbearers will be by family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta, TN from 12:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Smith passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Life Care Center in Sparta. She was born September 8, 1929 in Sparta, Tennessee to Vermal Cope Howell and Jennie Mae Kinnaird Howell. She enjoyed her nursing career at White County Hospital, Public Health and NHC nursing home. Memorial service with military honors for William Henry “BUCK” Herald, 85 of Baxter, will be Tuesday, July 23 at 6 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. A private family interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at a later date. Bro. Donnie Agee will officiate. Mr. Herald died Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his home in Baxter. He was born November 5, 1933 in DeKalb County to the late Solon and Alga Butts Herald. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict serving 6 years. He served on the USS Hornet. He was a retired foreman in pipeline construction. Survivors include sister Frances O’Neil Hodges of Oak Ridge, brother and sister-in-law Eddie Ray and Sue Herald of Cookeville, nieces and nephews: Tammy Dronebarger, Grace Hodges, Mary Spahn and Jimmy Hodges.
