Algood Farmer’s Market Awaits New Plans

The Algood Farmer’s Market project needs the new drawings to proceed with the building process.

Algood Mayor Kirk Dyer said he can not give a definite finish date for the market.

“However, if we approve those drawings at next month’s meeting and get this going, we can actually let this out to bid in August,” Dyer said. “And you are probably looking at an October or November completion date”

Although the building process will not start until later in the year, citizens may sell on the property.

“Any person who wishes to contact city hall and let us know their intentions,” Dyer said. “And they are more than welcome to set up on the lot as it is now.”

Citizens can use a corner of the Algood City Hall as an alternative site as well, City Manager Keith Morrison said.
