Woman Admits To Growing Marijuana At Her Home

A woman serving probation has admitted to growing marijuana at her Smithville home.

37-year-old Amanda Lynette Davis of Smithville is facing charges of manufacturing a schedule VI controlled substance and possession with the intent to sell or deliver a schedule VI drug.

Authorities say they located five black trash bags filled with different strands of pot while serving a warrant at Davis’s home on McMinnville Highway. During the investigation she admitted to officers that she grew the plants herself in the woods.

Davis is under a $50,000 bond at the DeKalb County Jail.
