A 24-year-old White County woman killed Monday morning at a home off Cherry Road.
Monday afternoon, TBI agents and White County Sheriffs Deputies arrested 38-year-old Clayton Matthew Watson of Pikeville on one count of First Degree Murder. Watson booked into the White County Jail on $1 million bond.
Watson accused of killing Dara Jade Butler. A 911 call to a Cherry Road residence Monday morning around 8am resulted in authorities finding Butler dead. During the day’s investigation, officers zeroed in on White as the person responsible.
The investigation continues with the TBI, the White County Sheriffs Office and the District Attorney’s office.
