Carnella Cassandra Officer, age 51 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Arrangements are incomplete.
Graveside services for Bro. Glen H. Ledbetter, age 91 of Monroe, will be conducted 10 am Thursday, October 15th from Richardson Cemetery with military honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will welcome friends from 5 until 8 pm on Wednesday evening from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Ledbetter passed from this life on Monday morning, October 12, 2020, from the Overton County Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Overton County on January 30, 1929, to the late William Chester and Verna Allred Ledbetter. He loved his family, ministering the Gospel of Christ, and playing golf. Glen enjoyed visiting the sick and preaching the Gospel during his career in ministry. He was a Church of Christ minister for over 50 years at several area churches, and he was a member of the Free Communion Church of Christ in Monroe. Bro. Ledbetter leaves behind his sons Paul Ledbetter and Billy Ledbetter and wife Ginny of Monroe.
Graveside services for Earl Young Nichols, age 90 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday October 15 at Algood City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided. Due to COVID-19 precautions social distancing measures will be observed and masks are required. Earl passed away suddenly Monday October 12, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services for Mr. William Glynn Guy, age 81 of the Hickory Valley community, will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Hickory Valley Church Cemetery. Mr. Guy passed away Monday night October 12, 2020 at his home on Blackburn Mountain. Other than his wife, his love was farming. He was employed at the Southeastern Regional Correctional Facility for 21 years. Glynn enjoyed his down time, visiting the Great Smokey Mountains and watching his favorite sport, Basketball. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mamie VanWinkle Guy; their children, Tamara (Rick) Swindell, Libby (Matthew) Rholander and Todd (Sara) Guy which whom all reside in Sparta. The Family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening. Bro. Doug Benningfield will officiate the services.

Mrs. Anderson passed away Tuesday, October 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1943 in Bon Air Community of White County to the late J.B. and Hazel Marie Hawkins Anderson. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday Evening. Bro. Houston Austin will officiate the services.
Funeral Services for Julie Beth (Lee) Breen, age 45 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at Sycamore Church of Christ, beginning at 11:00 am with Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Steve Reeder officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Breen passed away on Sunday October 11, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, surrounded by her loving husband and mother. Julie was a loving wife, daughter, granddaughter, and friend to all who knew her. Julie has been employed by the LBJ&C Head Start Corporation for over 19 years, 16 of those years were spent as a teacher in the classroom caring for hundreds of children whom she adored. Julie is survived by her loving husband of over 19 years, Craig Breen. The family will receive friends at Sycamore Church of Christ Thursday, October 15, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Friday from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am.
Funeral services for Ruth Juanita Dailey, 80, of the Fairview community of Jackson County, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. She passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired home health aide, and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include 3 Daughters: Sandy (Jackie) Lynn of Gainesboro, TN, Sharon (Bobby) Smith of Gainesboro, TN, and Shelia (Jason) Hurley of Silver Point. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services.

Mr. Norrod Retired In October 1995 After 30 Years With TDOT As A State Road Inspector. He Taught Adult Bible Class For Several Years At The Calvary Freewill Baptist Church In Hanging Limb. He Was A Member Of The Livingston Freewill Baptist Church. He Was Married To His Wife, Versie Edith Stout Norrod For 62 Years. He Enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, And Watching A UT Football Game Either At Neyland Stadium Or On TV. He Is Survived By His Wife, Edith Stout Norrod Of Livingston; Daughter And Son-In-Law, Lisa Jane And Bro. Billy Joe Gore Of Livingston. The Family Will Receive Friends At F.A. Norrod Cemetery For Graveside Services With Request Of Everyone Wearing A Mask. Masks Will Be Provided If Needed.

Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Weber passed from this life on Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020. She loved her family, watching soap operas, and sewing. She collected rocks and made her own jewelry. Mrs. Weber leaves behind her loving husband Billy G Weber, of Livingston; sons Ronald G Weber and wife Carla and Robert L Weber and wife Janet of Livingston; daughter Dianna Sue Dingemant and husband Eric of New York. The family will welcome friends on Friday from 10 AM until time of services at 2 PM.
Memorial services for John William Bennis, 74 of Sparta, will be held Sunday, October 18 at 3pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. He passed from this life on Friday, October 2, 2020, at home in Sparta. John enjoyed tinkering with cars, he was the owner of John’s Garage and Wrecker Service in Bloomington Springs. He liked to “glamcamp” (glamorous camping) with all the amenities of home, but at the lake. Jet skiing was also an event he liked doing while at the lake. He was an avid Amazon shopper. John loved his family, especially his grandson, who called him PopPop. Surviving are daughter, Jennifer Bennis of Cookeville and son Jonathan Bennis of Cookeville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
