Obituaries For Wednesday, July 10

Funeral services for Barbara Sue Perras, age 77, of Cookeville will be held at 6:00pm, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Rev. TJ Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00pm until the time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Perras passed away Sunday, July 7th, 2019 at her home. She was born on November 1, 1941 in Kentucky to the late Dillard and Vergie Holbrook Slone. Barbara Sue spent a majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Baxter United Methodist Church. She was a Navy wife to both of her late husbands and was a member of the C.P.O.. Wives Club.

Graveside services for Janice Eileen Green Griffin, age 71 of Sparta, will be held at 10:00 am Thursday morning, July 11, 2019 at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Janice passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital. She was born February 28, 1948 in Ohio to the late Ferman and Jessie Lucille Clark Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Joe Griffin. Janice was a former worker of Food Lion in Sparta and was a longtime member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by her Son: Robert Lago & wife Sebrina; Daughter: Michelle Green; 3 Step-Children: Bryan (Kim) Griffin, Kelly Griffin, and Kayla Griffin; Grandchildren: Joshua Lago, Hailee Lago, Cara Lago, and Jessica O’Niell; Great-Grandchildren: Airelle Rose Lago and Malachi Morgan. The family will have a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00 am until proceeding to the cemetery at 9:45 am.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Ann Gentry, 76, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 6 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. Burial will be on Friday at 2 P.M. in the Long Branch Cemetery in the Roaring River community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at her residence. She was born October 20, 1942, in Mayfield, KY, to the late Ernest Roscoe Goodwin and Martha Jerline Goodwin. On December 19, 1959, she was married to James Gentry, who survives. She was a registered nurse, and a member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Mr. Otis Odell Presley, age 74 of Livingston, will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Okolona Cemetery in Overton Co., TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, July 11th starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Brent Gibbons. He passed away from this life at his residence on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Mr. Otis Odell Presley was born in Rickman, Overton Co., TN on April 19, 1945 to the late A.T. and Leron C. (Harris) Presley. Otis was a small engine repairman. Otis will be greatly missed.

The graveside service for Patricia Sue Farmer Wilson, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Patricia left her earthly body to be reunited with the love her her life on July 9, 2019. Patricia was born on January 10, 1949 to Juanita Marie Cline Farmer in Crossville. She was raised by her loving and faithful grandparents Oscar Smith Cline and Myra Lee Sauceman Cline. Patricia married the love of her life Paul Harrison Wilson on May 21, 1966. They lived in Sparta and owned WTZX radio station until Paul’s death on March 24, 1991. Patricia will forever be remembered as a fighter and survivor. She adored her grandchildren and dedicated the past 22 years to showering them all with her love and affection. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, maternal aunt Nanny Sue Bumbalough, sister Kathy Farmer and her loving husband.

Celebration of Life for Linda Louise (Ganson) Moore, 71 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Linda passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Linda was born Thursday, July 17, 1947, in Springfield, Ohio and she was the daughter of the late James Elias and Virginia (Worix) Ganson. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Linda is survived by: 2 Sons: Richard and Charity Moore, James Moore; 6 Grandchildren; Sister: Carol Blair. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by Daughter, Sandra Moore; Sister, Brenda Bingham, and Brother, Eugene “Buck” Ganson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
