Funeral services for Mr. James Edward “Bud” Sells, age 80, of Allons will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from the chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Timmy Ray will officiate. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery. Mr. Sells passed from this life on Monday morning, November 12, 2018 from the comfort of his home. He was born June 6, 1938 in Clay County to the late Homer & Vinie Ruth Riddle Sells. Bud was Baptist in Faith and was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and making a garden. Bud also enjoyed taking care of his lawn, talking to his friends at Triple D Grocery Store and riding around the countryside. He leaves his sisters, Mable Ann Hummel of Allons, and Betty Dean Sells Stover of Columbia; nephew and caregiver, Ricky Shoemake of Allons; also a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Sells; sisters, Estelle Shoemake, Mildred Jean Harris, and Isabelle Hummel. The family will welcome friends from Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. James B. Parrott, age 85, of Livingston will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate. Burial will be in the Wirmingham Cemetery. Mr. Parrott passed from this life on Sunday evening, November 11, 2018 from the Overton County Health & Rehab Center. He was born September 4, 1933 in Overton County to the late Charlie & Hessie Stover Parrott. James was a member of the Free Communion Church of Christ. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, and sister. James loved all his church family. He enjoyed hobby farming, working in his church, also his horses and donkeys. James leaves his loving wife, Mrs. Betty Smith Parrott of Livingston; sons Billy Parrott, and Joe Parrott both of Livingston; daughter, Jamie Rogers & husband Ryan of Maryville; granchidlren, Garrett Rogers, and Camden James Rogers; brothers, Roy Parrott & wife Jessie of Livingston, and Charles “Chig” Parrott & wife Rose of Livingston; sister, Ruby Bilbrey of Livingston. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Dean Parrott; and brothers, John Parrott, and Kersey Stover. Patsy passed away at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital on Sunday afternoon, November 11, 2018. Patsy was born in Erwin to the late Bryan and Zeta Mactionsh Simmons on Monday, March 27, 1950. Survivors: Husband: James White; 1 Daughter: Dawn Senter; 1 Step-daughter: Amy Kelley and husband Patrick; 1 Step-son: Jamie and Angie White; Mother-in-law: Beulah White; 1 Brother: Nickie Simmons; 2 Nephews: Brian Simmons, John Simmons; 4 Step Grandchildren; A host of family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Carl F. Allen, 80, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in Gainesboro. He passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston. He was born November 11, 1938, in Gainesboro, to the late Lewis K. Allen and Betty Ann Allen. He worked as a drill operator in road construction, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Lewis Wayne Allen; and 3 Brothers: Douglas Allen, Clay Allen, and Donald Eugene Allen. Funeral services for George Michael Flatt, 57, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. He passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at his residence. He was born September 20, 1961, in Gainesboro, to the late James E. Flatt and Mary Helen Stafford Flatt. On March 7, 1981, he was married to Bonnie Kilmon Flatt, who survives. He was a factory worker at Nielsen, and a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Infant Brother: James Daniel Flatt; Paternal Grandparents: James Harvey and Lura Ann Flatt; and Maternal Grandparents: Luke and Elizabeth Stafford. Survivors include his Wife: Bonnie Kilmon Flatt of Gainesboro; 1 Brother: Ricky Flatt of Gainesboro; and 1 Sister: Kathy Marie Flatt of Gainesboro. Other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. James Lester “Jim” Horton, age 66 of Sparta, will be conducted 3:00pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Jim passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his sister’s residence. Jim was born September 26, 1952 in Sparta to the late Herman & Viola Briggs Horton. He worked for over 35 years at Duramatic in McMinnville. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and riding the roads of White County with a twist of King B. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brother in law Ken Patrick. Survivors include his brother Robert (Treva) Horton; Sister: Carolyn Horton Patrick; Nieces: Valorie (Ken) Crouch, Julie Henson; Nephew: Michael (Emily) Horton; Two great-nieces; Six great-nephews. Interment will follow in West Cemetery in the Fairview Community. Mark Keith Wilmoth passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home in Livingston. He was born Saturday, January 11, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to Jo Ellen Warren and the late Kenneth Wilmoth. Mark worked in construction for over forty years installing windows, siding and general carpentry. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: his wife Sandra Wilmoth; daughter, Tonya Kelly; sister, Cynthia Dwyer; niece, Amy Miller. Bro. Gerald Padgett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Sisco passed away peacefully at home Monday morning November 12, 2018 in Fayetteville, GA. She was born December 22, 1933 in Overton County to the late Enoch and Mary Alice Phillips Brown. Husband of 57 years, Carlen Sisco, and sisters Noble Yalanzon and Juanita McCrobie preceded her in death. Mrs. Sisco was a member of Monterey First Baptist Church. She and her family lived in Kettering, OH for over 30 years where she was a member of Kettering First Baptist Church. She had retired from Standard Register in Dayton, OH. Mrs. Sisco is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry & Lisa Sisco of Fayetteville, GA; sister, Rita (Jack) Parker of Indiana; five grandchildren, Cassie (Jack) Wheatley, Cody, Devin, Sean, and Victoria Sisco; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Hope, and Colton Wheatley. Willie passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Born Sunday, February 10, 1929 in Spencer, he was the son of the late James and Lydia Dodson McCormick. He was the husband of Edna Luna McCormick. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparta for many years. He loved to fish and enjoyed being a Husband, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather to his family. Survivors include: Wife- Edna McCormick of Cookeville; Son- Allan McCormick (Becky) of Davidsonville, MD; Daughter-Tracy Burnette(Tim) of Lenoir City; Grandchildren- Brad and Brian McCormick; Tyler and Tanner Burnette; Great-Grandchildren- Madison, Gabriella, Charlotte, William, Foster McCormick. Haisley Grace and Mabry Kate Burnette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry McCormick. The family will receive friends from 3pm until time of the service.
