Funeral services for Darlene Simmons, 76 of Sparta, will be held at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Thurman Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery. Darlene was born September 16, 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan and passed away peacefully from this life on June 26, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Hospital surrounded by those that she loved the most. She retired from Mallory/Emerson Industries. She was a proud member at Bear Cove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck and Kelly Swindell. She is Survived by her sons; Gordan Simmons and Brian Simmons; grand-daughter, Aaleia Simmons. She had many special friends and family that began many years ago. Visitation will be held at the Chapel of Thurman Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
A memorial service for Carl Ellis Moore Jr., 74 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday June 30 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. He passed away on the afternoon of June 1, 2023. Carl was born October 10, 1948, in Miami, FL to the late Carl and Lorene Moore. He spent his early years in Miami and Jacksonville, FL before moving to Atlanta to attend Emory University. Carl began a career with Southwestern Bell and eventually lived in Texas until his retirement. He then moved to Tennessee to be closer to family. Carl was a very kind, gracious, and gentle man. He was a mentor and friend to many and was always available to help family and friends, to lend a wise word and a listening ear. His daily texts and check in’s will be missed by so many. He was artistic-a talented painter and writer, an avid reader, and he loved fast cars. Carl was married to Thelma May (Helie) Moore who preceded him in death. In addition to Thelma, Carl was preceded in death by his step-daughter Suzanne Wright (David). Carl is survived by his sisters Dianne Garner (Robert), Jeanne Warner; step-son Joseph Kerr; grandson Brady Kerr; nephews Richard Garner (Katie), Ron Garner (Megan); nieces Stacy Baxter (Blake), Heather McRaney, and many dear friends who he considered family. His family will welcome friends Friday from 10 a.m. until service.

Interment will follow in the Sand Springs Cemetery in Monterey. He passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Eunetta was born Wednesday, August 24, 1960, in Cookeville, she was the daughter of the late Wilse Sanford Horn and the late Dorothy Etter (Hall) Horn Loftis. Eunetta was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She attended the Algood Church of God. Eunetta is survived by, Husband, Richard Lewis; 2 Sisters, Margaret Bouton, and Neta Crosswhite; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to her parents, Eunetta was preceded in death by, 3 Brothers, Sanford, Sam, and Alvie Horn; 4 Sisters, Tina Hutson, Gladys Phy, Barbara Jean Horn, and Ruby Jewel Horn. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again, Friday, June 30, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. He passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. Wobble was born Tuesday, November 27, 1956, in Sparta, he was the son of the late James Elliott Rice and the late Reba Rhea (Lyles) Montgomery. Wobble was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend. He was a retired Union pipeline operator. He loved to fish, and be with his family. He was known to walk up to a stranger and strike up a conversation and was a friend to everyone. Wobble is survived by, Wife of 39 years, Kristi Susanne (Sparks) Rice; 3 Children, Christopher Dwayne Rice, and his partner, Mandy, Chadrick Lawrence Rice, and his wife, Christina, and Dustin Levi Rice, and his wife, Alesia; 6 Grandchildren, Ali Martinez, Luci. Jude, and Lennon Rice, and Chloe and Ricky Rice; Brother, Tony Rice and his wife, Elizabeth; 2 Sisters, Yvonne Rice, and Teresa Nichols; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to his parents, Wobble was preceded in death by, Son, Joshua McDonald Rice; his Dad, Bill Montgomery; 2 Brothers, Jimmy “Chink” Rice, and William “Biggun” Rice; Sister, Gloria Cartwright. Funeral Services for Mr. Ethan Wade Walls, age 30, of Allons will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Junior Dewayne Walls and Bro. Denton Hummel will officiate. Burial to follow in the Walls Family Cemetery. Ethan passed from this life on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in Pikeville. He was born October 9, 1992, in Livingston to Rick and Brenda Hammock Walls. Ethan was a 2011 graduate of Livingston Academy. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and mechanic work in his shop. Ethan never met a stranger and enjoyed driving his dump truck. His greatest love was his family. Ethan leaves behind his wife Rebecca Brown Walls of Allons; sons, Koben Walls, and Maxton Walls of Allons; parents, Ricky and Brenda Walls of Allons; brother, Heath Walls and wife Ashley of Allons; and mother & father-in-law, Linda Allred of Livingston, and Doug Brown of Charleston, WV. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home.

Born Monday, September 14, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Shirley (Ireland) Flynn. Phyllis was a loving Wife and Sister . She was a Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. She is survived by her loving Husband, Norman Allen Frese.
