Funeral services for JT Grasty, age 79, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastors Bobby Floyd and Gary Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. JT passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville following brief illness. He was born Friday, June 7, 1940 in Cookeville to the late Walter Reese Grasty and Nannie Hood Grasty. JT was a member of Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. He drove a truck for Eastern Foam for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cordell Grasty, LD Grasty, and Troy C. Grasty; two sisters, Estelle Farley and Roselle Roberts. He is survived by a sister, Adelle Horn of Cookeville; special friend, Wanda Clinton of Cookeville, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Betty Love Burchell Matheney, age 87 of Sparta, will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Frasiers Chapel Cemetery. Betty passed away on Sunday Morning June 16, 2019 at NHC of Sparta. She was born May 30, 1932 in Rutledge, TN to the late Henry Lee and Mary Lou McDaniels Burchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband: George W. Matheney, Daughter: Gail Matheney, 2 Sons: Buddy and Michael Matheney along with 3 sisters. She is survived by her Children: Emma (Robert) Smith, Liz McGinty, Gary (Pam) Matheney, Pat (Rick) Hutchins, Ricky Matheney, Greg Matheney, and Misty (Gene) Williams; 25 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Phillips Was Born On May 30, 1946, In Monterey, To The Late George And Margie Farley Holloway. Mrs. Phillips Passed Away On Sunday, June 16, 2019, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Phillips Worked With Crossville Walmart For Over 25 Years. She Worked In The Garment Industry And Was An Avid Quilter. She Was Of The Baptist Faith. Ms. Reagan passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 16, 2019. Ms. Reagan was born on July 30, 1953 in Jamestown to Junior Crabtree and Lola Franklin. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. John passed from this life Friday, June 14, 2019 in Cookeville. He was born Wednesday, April 15, 1987 in Cookeville, he was the son of Riggs Gentry and Beverly (Brown) Gentry. John was a loving Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, and friend to all that knew him. He loved all of his family and was always glad to take care of his sister: Racheal Lauren Gentry. He loved fishing and hunting, playing music and singing, and just being around people in general. He was definitely a people person. In addition to his parents he is survived by: 1 Sister: Racheal Lauren Gentry of Cookeville; Grandmothers: Jo Gentry, and Velma Brown; Numerous Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers: Raymond Harvey Brown and Lloyd “Cat” Gentry. Mr. Holloway Passed Away On Sunday, June 9, 2019, At His Home. Mr. Holloway Was Born On April 2, 1958, In Jamestown, To The Late Marvin Paul Holloway, Jr. And Joanna Allred Holloway Of Monterey. Mr. Holloway Was A Brick Mason. He Was A United States Navy Veteran. He Loved His Family And His Favorite Hobbies Were Shooting Pool And Fishing. Memorial Services for Glenna Sharon, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3850 Gainesboro Grade Cookeville, TN 38501. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He passed from this life Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Monday, March 28, 1949 in Lake City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Carr and Alma Naomi (Byrd) Foust. Glenna Sharon was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing her strong faith with everyone she met. (JW.org). She was a meek and kind person who loved her God, her Congregation, her Family, and Friends and Neighbors. She also loved animals especially small dogs.
