Mrs. Ruby Simmons, age 89 of Cookeville died Friday November 8, 2019 at 5:24 a.m. at her home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Bobby Frazier, age 91, of Cookeville, passed away Thursday evening at Bailery Manor in Cookeville. Arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral Services For Rev. Coleman Looper, Age 80, Of Rickman, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Saturday, November 9, 2019, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Delmer McCowan, Rev. Derek Parsons, Rev. Howard Dailey, And Rev. Roger Cooper Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Harris Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Looper Was Born On February 28, 1939, In Overton County, Tennessee, To The Late Alvin C. And Visa Lee Phipps Looper. Rev. Coleman Looper Passed Away On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Rev. Looper Was A Minister Of The Gospel And An Evangelist For 63 Years. He Was A Church Planter And Pastor, Co-Founder Of Fairview Freewill Baptist In Livingston, Founder And Pastor Of Love Freewill Baptist In Crossville, And Owner/Operator Of Grand Ole Gospel Barn In Crossville For 24 Years. He Recorded Over 35 Albums, CDs And DVDs And Hosted A TV Show Coleman’s Sing Time For Years. He Served As Deacon At Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist In Anderson, Indiana, Tyler Point Freewill Baptist In Monterey, And Fairview Freewill Baptist In Livingston, Tennessee, Before Being Ordained As Minister Of The Gospel. He Was A Member Of Highland Freewill Baptist Church In Livingston. He Was Also A Licensed Home Builder And Was Sales Manager For NSA In Memphis, Tennessee. In Lieu Of Flowers Memorials May Be Given To The Family. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Friday, November 8, 2019, From 4:00 PM Until 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services for Ms. Sophie Mae Bilbrey, age 83 of Old Hickory, and formerly of Overton County, will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Randy Pickens will officiate. Burial to follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Ms. Sophie Mae Bilbrey passed from this life on Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2019, from NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro. She was born in Overton County on July 30, 1936, to the late Kimoth and Bonnie Huddleston Bilbrey. She loved to travel, go to the beach, visit Disney World, shop at the mall, and play bingo. Ms. Bilbrey leaves behind her nephews, David Conner and wife Chistine Yeargin of Murfreesboro and Dennis Conner and wife Syndee of McMinnville; niece, Kim Conner of Centertown; brother-in-law, Robert Conner of McMinnville; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bilbrey was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Conner. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m.

Memorial Services for Christopher Meril William Reed, age 55 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, November 9th, at 2:00 pm. The service is to be held at Presley Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tennessee. He passed from this life at the age of 55. Chris was born on April 17th, 1964, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Marilyn and Bill Reed. He grew up in Rickman, Tennessee and attended school there throughout his school age. In the early 90’s, he married the soon-to-be Jewel Reed, and moved to Arlington, Texas where he would have a successful career manufacturing airplanes for LTV. Within a few short years, he then decided to return home to Cookeville where he would build his first home, and welcome his beloved daughter to the world, Kristen Reed. Once settled down in his new life, Chris would then take on the role of driving an 18-wheeler for the next several years to support his new family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Ward Key, age 91 will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey. Pastor Darrell Key will officiate. Interment will follow in Welch Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Key passed away Wednesday November 6, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 10, 1928 in Smith County, TN to the late Robert ‘Bob” and Laura Harville Overstreet. Mrs. Key was a member of Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing at church.

Funeral services for Mr. George B. Hamilton, 80, of Bloomington Springs, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Burris Cemetery on Mabry School Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born October 26, 1939, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Willie Hamilton and Vida Mae Hensley Hamilton. On September 7, 1963, he was married to Moline Stafford Hamilton, who survives. He was a factory worker at Dacco, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

Memorial service for S.T. Nash age 79, of Baxter, will be held on Saturday November 9th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the Nash Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Gary west will officiate at the service. Mr. Nash was born on October 22, 1939 in Putnam County to the late Lilburn and Ella Dunn Nash. He passed away on Sunday October 20, 2019 at His residence in Baxter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: Wife: Julie Bilyeu and Infant Son: Joey Nash. His family includes 2 Sons and a Daughter in-law: Greg and Kathy Nash of Baxter and Marty Nash of Baxter; 1 Daughter and Son in-law: Donna and Brian Henry of Lenoir City; 2 Sisters: Lila Johnson of Baxter and Mary Ellen Donaldson of Cookeville; 7 Grandchildren: Rebecca Herron, Jaden Nash, Jacie Nash, Erica Nash, Joshua Russell, Jeremy Russell and Chloe Henry; 2 Great Grandchildren: Ella Russell and Kylie Pearce. In Lieu of Flowers Donations may be made to your Local Animal Shelter.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thelma Jean Dailey Gore, age 83, of Hilham will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Thelma Jean Gore passed from this life on Friday morning, November 8, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. She was born July 9, 1936, at home in the Rocky Mound Community of Overton County, Tennessee to the late Willie Newton & Ermine Catherine Clayborn Dailey. She attended the Windle Grammar School. She was baptized at Holly Springs Church of Christ in 1955. Thelma Jean worked for many years as a seamstress. She was known for her hard-working skills as a seamstress and at home. She loved gardening, canning, flowers, and working on her farm. She loved her family very much and always checked on them before going to bed every evening. Thelma looked forward to being with and worshiping her Lord and Savior. Thelma Jean Gore leaves behind her sons, Bobby Gore of Holly Springs, Community, and Billy Joe Gore & wife Lisa of Livingston; grandchildren, Catherine Gore, Ben Gore & wife Lisa Jai, and Molly Gore; great-grandchildren, Noah Gore and James Ryman; sister, Beulah Morgan of Hyden, KY; brothers, Willie, Robert, Clifton, Howard, Roy U.L., and Donald Dailey. In addition to her parents, Thelma Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wylie Gore, Jr.; brothers, Elmer & Herman Dailey, and sisters, Mary Brown, and Delma McWhorter. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Jasper Carl Haile, 73, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. He passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1946, in Gainesboro, to the late Jasper Carl Haile, Sr. and Madge Osgatharp Haile. He was a cattle farmer, and a member of the Cattleman’s Association. He served in the Tennessee National Guard, and was a member of American Legion Post 129. He was affiliated with the Flynns Creek Church of Christ, and was a former member of the Jackson County Commission. Survivors include 1 Aunt, several cousins, and many friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services.

A memorial service for Mr. Charles W. Kibbons, Jr., age 84 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, November 13th at 3 p.m. at Cookeville First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kibbons died Saturday afternoon, November 2nd at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
