Warren County plans to use some of its TDEC ARP money to prepare for industrial growth in the southwest portion of the county.
County Executive Jimmy Haley said the county’s Industrial Development Board has a property it wants to develop.
“IDB has purchased 200 acres right on the Coffee County/Warren County line that we’re working on doing a larger industrial complex there, so we’re working with TDOT and TDEC,” Haley said.
Haley said the county wants to upgrade the Morrison pump station to allow the development as well as a water tank improvement. Haley said the Industrial Board continues work with state officials to certify the property that was purchased in 2019.
Haley said several subdivisions are also planned for the area that would benefit from the upgrades.
