Warren Bridgestone Plant Getting New Addition And Jobs

Bridgestone investing $550 million into its Warren County plant expanding its operation to include a new environmentally friendly tire.

Plant Manager Tim Painter said the expansion would be like building a whole new plant connected to the existing facility. A 850,000 square foot addition would be constructed with new technology.

“It’s one of the premier plants in the Bridgestone organization worldwide in many of the metrics that we’re measured by,” Painter said. “This plant was chosen based on its consistent, outstanding performance.”

Painter said the project would add 380 new jobs, bringing the plants workforce to over 1,400 positions. Painter said the project overall establishes a stable future to the facility as well as the community.

“The team mates come from most or all of the surrounding counties, so with that, these jobs help secure their future to help support the local economies. Part of the culture here at Warren County that our leadership has grown from the inside, so the promotional opportunity inside the plant is outstanding.”

Painter said the investment is a part of Bridgestone’s goal to be more sustainable. Painter said the equipment installed will enable the tires to have radio frequency identification capabilities.

‘It will help fleets more efficiently manage inventories,” Painter said. “We will have sensors that support data driven insight for more efficient fleet management. All of these help us generate these next generation tires.”

Painter said the plant is currently in the design phase. Painter said construction will likely not begin until next year with a 2026 completion date.
