Volunteer Energy Cooperative has a new President and CEO starting in December.
Dion Cooper was selected by the Board of Directors to replace Rody Blevins who retired. Cooper said the opportunity means a homecoming back to Volunteer Energy where his electric cooperative career began in 2006.
Cooper worked for Volunteer Electric for 12 years before leaving for Arkansas. Cooper said as director, his goals are to expand broadband to more customers and deliver reliable and affordable power.
