A long-time Van Buren County leader laid to rest Thursday afternoon as services held for Donald Hollingsworth.
Hollingsworth spent 40 years on the Board of Directors for Ben Lomand, Farm Bureau, and NTCA. In addition, he served some 30 years on the Van Buren County Fair Board. Hollingsworth served as leader with UCHRA, the City of Spencer Planning Commission and the local Head Start program.
The 1960 graduate of Van Buren County High School leaves behind a son and daughter. Hollingsworth died at the age of 81.
