A Rock Island man injured Monday morning in an accident along Highway 111 in Overton County.
According to preliminary reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Tristan Carter was traveling north in a tractor trailer Monday morning. Another tractor trailer driven by 46-year-old Darren Herrod of Morrison turned right onto West Turkey Creek Road. Carter’s vehicle failed to stop, striking Herrod’s truck. Carter’s truck overturned spilling its load onto Highway 111 blocking the northbound lanes.
Carter was transferred to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Herrod was not injured.
