Two Structures Lost, One Under Construction During Buffalo Valley Fire

An under construction log cabin was totally destroyed during a fire Friday in Buffalo Valley.

Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown said they responded to the fire on Medley Amonette Road at roughly 4:00 PM. Brown said an adjacent farm house was also lost to the fire.

He said several structures were able to be saved during the fire department’s three hours on scene. Brown said the property owner lives down the road and the owner discovered the fire while feeding his animals.

Brown said that there were no injuries sustained during the fire and there is no known cause at this time.
