Cookeville Juvenile Life-Flighted To Vanderbilt Monday Night

A three-year-old Cookeville boy was life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital Monday night after being hit by a car. Two Structures Lost, One Under Construction During Buffalo Valley Fire

An under construction log cabin was totally destroyed during a fire Friday in Buffalo Valley. Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown said they responded to the fire on Medley Amonette Road at roughly 4:00 PM. Brown said an adjacent farm house was also lost to the fire. Putnam Construction Boom Not Stopping For Rising Costs

March was an all-time record month for single family home permits and construction costs in Putnam County. Mayor Randy Porter said there were 52 permits worth $11.44 million, 39 of which were for single family homes.
