TVA crews will remove an old line at Center Hill Lake Friday.
TVA spokesman Scott Fiedler said the line across the lake and down Highway 96 is an old one and isn’t in use anymore.
“We’re going to take this line down, remove the poles along the right of way, cut them down, then recycle the line,” Fiedler said.
Drivers near the dam and boaters on the lake need to be aware of the work, Fiedler said.
“We’re also going to have folks on the water, we’re going to have two patrol boats on the water to help alert people because as the line comes down we don’t want any boaters underneath it or running across it. We’re also going to have traffic safety out on Highway 96 by the dam,” Fiedler said.
The work will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and continue until it’s complete, Fiedler said.
