TTU Alumnus, Grammy Winner Tells What It Is Like At The Grammys

Tennessee Tech Alumnus and 11-time Grammy Award winning classical producer Blanton Alspaugh (Alls-Paw) takes you behind the scenes of one of the most anticipated artist events of the year.

The 65th annual Grammy Awards takes place this Sunday. Alspaugh said what stood out to him was the opportunity to see artists from a number of different genres.

Alspaugh said one of the more memorable moments is the nominee reception the night before. Alspaugh said meeting Aimee Mann most known for the 80’s band ‘Til Tuesday and seeing Glenn Campbell who sings Rhinestone Cowboy are some of his favorite moments.

Alspaugh graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1981. Alspaugh said his parents and brother still reside near Cookeville. He said the city has since been considered home to him as he gets to visit a few times a year.

Alspaugh is not nominated this year.
