Three UC State Parks Receive Grants For Visitor Experience Enhancement

Three Upper Cumberland state parks or natural areas have received $500 grants from the Friends of the Tennesse State Parks. The grants will fund a variety of projects that will enhance the visitor’s experience in a Tennessee State Park or Natural Area.

Pickett County’s Cordell Hull Museum will use the money for interpretive displays. DeKalb County’s Edgar Evins State Park will update its Storybook Trail. The Sergeant Alvin C. York State Park in Fentress County will use its grant funding for trail-building tools.

The locations are three of 15 areas that received grant money that totaled some $7,000.
