This week in the Upper Cumberland White County will host three committee meetings Monday.
The company Waste Management is set to present to the Solid Waste Committee. Commissioners will also discuss the future of the landfill including the diversion of residential trash.
The county’s steering committees will discuss the reappointment of the Parks and Recreation Subcommittee and the application of a food security grant. The committees will start discussions at 5:30 p.m.
The Livingston Mayor and Board of Aldermen will continue discussions on its vacant police chief position Monday. Mayor Curtis Hayes said the candidate pool has been narrowed down to three applicants. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.
The Clay County Commission will vote on a financial incentive for a company to reopen the Cumberland River Hospital. It would match Celina’s already approved$250,000. Commissioners will gather at 6:30 p.m.
The Monterey Board of Aldermen meets Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, the Algood City Council will consider awarding a bid to the Big Mac Drive extension. The paving project would make a second entrance to the Walmart parking lot. Business starts at 6:00 p.m.
The Celina Board of Aldermen meets Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The Overton County Board of Education has a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Thursday, the Clay County Board of Education gathers at 6:00 p.m.
