This Week Putnam Commission Considers Budget, Jackson Commission Meets

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Commission will consider its next fiscal year budget Monday.

The spending plan that comes from committee includes raises for all employees. Especially emergency workers who would receive $5,000.

The commission will also vote on the resignation of Commissioner Jimmy Neal following charges involving child pornography. The committee meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with the full commission starting at 6:00 p.m.

The Cookeville Planning Commission will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m.

The Jackson County Commission will hear quarterly reports from department heads Monday. That meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, the CRMC Planning and Finance Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. Members will review agenda items for its full Board of Trustees meeting Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
