This Week Cookeville Planning Continues RV Park Discussion, Putnam BOE Hears Project Updates

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Cookeville Planning Commission will discuss the addition of RV Parks to local commercial districts.

The commission last month voted to further study the request. Currently, the city’s zoning codes only allow campgrounds under general commercial. Business starts at 5:30 p.m.

The State Department of Economic and Community Development will host a regional meeting for elected officials Wednesday. The statewide capital initiative called Fund Tennessee will be discussed at the UCDD office in Cookeville.

The program is meant to benefit small businesses and entrepreneurs. The session starts at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, the Putnam County School Board will consider a bid to repair its Avery Trace Middle School gym floor. Insurance will cover the project cost due to water damage.

Members will also hear project updates for Park View School and Upper man High School addition. The board starts the meeting at 5:00 p.m. at central office.

The Sparta Board of Aldermen gathers at 5:00 p.m Thursday. The Baxter Board of Aldermen meets at 6:00 p.m. The Gainesboro Board of Aldermen hosts its meeting at 7:00 p.m.
