Tennessee Tech’s Preview Day Helps Students Feel Comfortable With College

A place for students and parents to get a taste of what life as a Tennessee Tech student has to offer.

That’s what Tech’s 2021 “Preview Day” is all about this weekend. Director of Admissions Steve Keller said the goal is to help students and their families feel more comfortable with the prospect of college.

“We want students to go where they feel like they’re going to be the most comfortable where they feel like they’ll be the most successful,” Keller said. “And in our experiences students who come to Tech are very comfortable and they’re very successful. And we want students to be able to come to campus and to see that for themselves.”

Keller said that students and families can expect a day full of events. He said that there will be representatives from every department to speak to prospective students, the chance to visit dorms, eat in the dining hall, and end the day with a  Tennessee Tech football game.

Keller said that events like Preview Day can be the difference in making a college decision.

“Events like Preview Day can really help student solidify their decision help them realize that ‘Hey this is where I want to go to college,'” Keller said.

Keller said for those interested in attending Preview Day, the registration process is simple. He said to visit tntech.edu/previewday, and enter basic information and show up Saturday morning at the 8:30 a.m. kick-off.
