Tennessee Offers Crash Report Purchasing Website

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has launched a crash report purchasing website.

A press release indicates that citizens can access crash reports from all state law enforcement agencies.

To obtain a crash report, individuals need the date of the crash, the name of the agency that investigated the crash, the last name of the driver, and the driver license number of the driver.

In addition, individuals must also have the VIN number, license plate number, or the case number.

The release states that crash reports should be available within seven business days of the wreck.

Online crash reports cost $10.
