Warren County deputies shot and injured a man following a brief vehicle pursuit Monday morning.
Officials with the Tennessee bureau of Investigation said the unidentified suspect received treatment at a Chattanooga hospital. None of the officers sustained injuries during the incident.
A TBI press release said investigators began the pursuit after learning the man had committed a crime in another county. Officials said the individual turned onto C Rody Road before turning his vehicle sideways and firing at responding officers.
According to an official with the Overton County Sheriff’s Office, the same suspect allegedly set fire to a garage in the county early Monday morning.
The investigation continues to be active and ongoing and investigative findings will be shared with the District Attorney General.
