Jackson County plans to add the first fitness center in the county with $50,000 in ThreeStar grant funding. Overton Using $50,000 Grant For Three Initiatives

Overton County is looking to re-brand, boost tourism and strengthen its workforce through Tennessee’s ThreeStar program. Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shannon Cantrell said signage leading tourists downtown, a new county website and developing internship programs are what is planned. All 14 Upper Cumberland Counties have free high school equivalency course opportunities. Lynda Huddleston is the Upper Cumberland District Coordinator for Adult Education. TCAT Crossville Expanding, Adding High Demand Program

Crossville’s TCAT campus is expanding with a 12,000 square foot, $2 million dollar learning space. TCAT Crossville Vice President Stacy Johnson said he expects the new building to open in three to four weeks, opening up more space on the main campus.
