The State Department of Veteran Services will once again seek funding for the Upper Cumberland Veterans Cemetery. The project was not selected for federal funding last year. Incumbents Face Tough Night In White County Commission Race

Incumbent Denny Wayne Robinson won the Republican Primary for White County Executive Tuesday. Robinson beat challenger Joe Hallums Tuesday with more than 5,000 voters casting ballots. Robinson finished with 55 percent of the vote to Hallums’ 44.9 percent. Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Manager Dean Selby asked the four government entities affiliated with the airport to consider increasing their contributions.
