COVID, Weather Affect Pickett County Fishing Tournaments

Pickett County played host to two different fishing tournaments but the pandemic and weather created less than ideal results. Dale Hollow Lake Fishing Tourney Brings 320 Participants

The Renegade Bass Fishing Tournament will bring some 320 participants and as many as 180 boats to Dale Hollow Lake starting Monday. Dale Hollow Lake to Host 2 Weeks of Fishing Tournaments

Starting October 19th there will be two weeks of fishing tournaments on Dale Hollow Lake. Byrdstown-Pickett County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Billy Robbins said this will draw in around 800 people between the two tournaments. The community has to pay to host these tournaments. Extra Sponsorship Funds For Pickett Fishing Tournaments

Extra funds for Pickett County’s fishing tournament sponsorship is awarded to the Chamber of Commerce. Commissioners approved a $3,000 donation for two national tournaments in the fall and spring.
