Cookeville saw 11.6 inches of snow in February with four inches recorded on Wednesday. Crossville Sets New Rainfall Record

Crossville set a new annual rainfall record in 2020 with more than 75 inches of rain falling during the course of the year. The National Weather Service office at Crossville began keeping records in 1954. The final tally Thursday came in at 75.32 inches of rain. Four UC Counties Listed On The Drought Monitor

Four Upper Cumberland counties are listed as Abnormally Dry. According to the National Drought Monitor, parts of Putnam, Overton, Fentress and most of Cumberland County are listed as a D0 category drought. Nearly 3 Inches Of Rain Over Northern Counties

Northern areas of the Upper Cumberland saw training rain and thunder Saturday night as storms trained out of Kentucky. By 3:40am Sunday morning, one National Weather Service observer reported 2.77 inches of rain in Celina.
