A Smithville long-term care facility has a cluster of five positive COVID-19 patient cases. The State Department Of Health reports the cluster at the Webb House Retirement Center on Jennings Lane. An elderly White County resident passed away at Cookeville Regional Monday marking the 11th COVID-19 patient to die at the facility. The patient had underlying health conditions, according to CRMC Public Relations Director Melahn Finley. Putnam School Officials Will Call Parents Who Have Not Responded

Putnam County School officials will be contacting parents next week who did not respond to the system about in-classroom or online learning. Cookeville Regional reported two deaths from COVID-19 since Thursday bringing the pandemic total to ten. Public Relations Director Melahn Finley said both patients were elderly patients with underlying health issues. A total of 25 patients are being treated at CRMC for COVID-19. An elderly COVID patient died at Cookeville Regional Tuesday night bringing the pandemic number to eight.
