Cookeville High School will get a new synthetic turf surface after the school board approved the financing completed by Cookeville parents. The school board gave the parents and about 75 Cookeville Cavalier athletes in attendance a standing ovation. Putnam Gets 175K Grant For SROs

20 school resource officers in 19 Putnam County schools will receive salary increases thanks to a new grant. Upperman & Cookeville Gym Floor Repair Underway

Cookeville and Upperman High Schools are repairing their gym floors this July. Putnam County Schools Facilities and Construction Supervisor John Magura said the floors are usually repaired every 10 to 12 years.
