The Cookeville City Council approved an agreement Thursday to bury power lines adjacent to Stephens Street Baptist Church. Crossville City Manager Greg Wood presented his monthly sales tax-collection report at the City Council meeting Tuesday night. Overall, sales-tax revenues have been good, he reported. Sales-tax revenues for September were down slightly from August, at $692,879. Wholesale beer-tax income is off a little from projections, coming in at just over $64,000 for September.
