Sparta Man Arrested For Stabbing Cookeville Man

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Sparta man Sunday for stabbing a Cookeville man Saturday night.

The aggravated assault occurred in Cookeville on South Maple Avenue during a physical altercation between the 35-year-old victim and 23-year-old Timothy Seth Daniels.

Daniels fled the scene before police investigation but was located the next day by Jackson County law enforcement. Daniels is currently incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail on $100,000 bond.

The victim’s condition was reported as critical but stable after being transferred to the Vanderbilt Medical Center from Cookeville Regional.
