Sparta Electric customers will have a planned power outage Saturday night.
Mayor Jeff Young announced the outage during last week’s board meeting.
“We’ll be changing out the power from our spare transformers to our current transformers, we’ll be switching load off of West Sparta to North White and Great Falls, Sparta Electric should be off two times during this time, Caney Fork will not be off any,” Young said.
The outage should occur between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday. Only customers of Sparta Electric should be affected.
