The Tennessee Highway Patrol says charges are pending after a Smithville woman fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her vehicle Sunday night.
The crash happened on Bank Pisgah Road around 9:45 p.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 61-year-old Sharon Robinson was driving a 2010 Nissan Quest. The crash report said the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a fence after going off the left side of the roadway.
Robinson suffered minor injuries and received treatment at Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
According to the report, Robinson claimed that she fell asleep at the wheel prior to the crash.
