Putnam Sheriff’s Office Seeking Info On Missing Girl

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office asking for information about a missing Putnam County girl.

15-year-old Olivia Daryl Taylor is a student at Upperman High School. Public Information Officer Austin Pevehouse said she was reported missing by her parents around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.

“We know that in the past, as we know she hasn’t been doing this and the parents weren’t aware of this behavior either,” Pevehouse said. “So this is atypical behavior for her and we’re trying to get as much information as we can so we can bring her home safely.”

Pevehouse said they were originally treating the situation as if Taylor was a runaway juvenile. He said as the situation has developed and because of the time frame, there are more concerns.

“We’re getting told that she may possibly have a history of drug use and has been around some individuals that also have a previous history of drug use,” Pevehouse said. “Now we’re concerned about that because she’s around some characters that she probably shouldn’t be around.”

Pevehouse said at there is no reason to believe Taylor is a danger to herself or others. He said if anyone has seen or talked to Taylor in the last 24 to 48 hours to contact the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 931-528-8484.
