The Putnam County School Board approved the logo package for the new Park View School at its Thursday night meeting.
Director of Schools Corby King said that the blue and white rocket logos can be used in all design elements, from t-shirts to decals on the gym floor.
“The naming committee sent these out to the teachers and faculty at Park View and they also selected this pack as well,” King said. “There were three packs to choose from, and this was the one the naming committee and the teachers voted on and selected.”
King said that the logos were designed by Adam Pharris, a member of the naming committee as well as a Park View parent and alumni. Upland Design Consultant Kim Chamberlain said that they are excited to move forward with the logos and get more details into the work.
The school board voted to name the new K-8 school Park View at its February meeting. At that same meeting, they also voted to keep the colors blue and white and change the mascot to the Rockets.
