TWRA officers found a Putnam County man dead on Center Hill Lake Wednesday afternoon.
36-year-old Quinn Hogan found by GPS forensic tracking near the Cookeville Boat Dock around 4:30pm. Hogan was wearing a self-inflating personal flotation device, but it was not inflated. The body was taken to the Davidson County Medical Examiner’s office.
TWRA officers arrived in the area about 11am Wednesday after a friend reported Hogan missing. He had reportedly been fishing on Center Hill Lake Tuesday. The friends found his truck at Cookeville Boat Dock.
Officers found his boat about 90 minutes later adrift in a cove. It took about three hours to find the body as officers battled heavy rains and high water. Despite some eight feet of water, rescue teams from TWRA and Dekalb County found Hogan by about 4:30pm.
The investigation continues.
