Plumbing Issues Cause Upperman HS Students To Leave Campus

Students of Upperman High School have been moved to Upperman Middle School as plumbing issues have caused minor flooding.

Director of Schools Corby King said maintenance personnel is currently working to clear the expected line blockage.

“It kinda came up this afternoon a little after one, where we are not able to use the restrooms,” King said. “We are not able to flush the toilets. If you flush toilets any where in the building, they seem to be backing up in one of the restroom areas in particular.”

King said the 100 hallway is the most affected area of the school. High school students will return back to campus at 3:00 p.m. for a normal dismissal, King said.

“Parents will pick up the same way that they normally do,” King said. “There behind the school, the buses will run the same way, and students drivers also dismissed in the same minor.”

King said he does not know the extent of damage at this time but expects school to go as normal Monday. King said any further updates for parents will be sent out through the school messenger system.
