A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Cumberland County Thursday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased as 45-year-old Kevin W. Price of Rockwood.
The incident happened on Highway 70 westbound in Crab Orchard around 5:00 AM.
A THP crash report indicates that Price died after being struck by a Chevy Equinox, driven by 22-year-old Rebekah G. Cagley of Rockwood. The report said Cagley was unable to avoid striking Price who was in her lane of travel.
After striking Price, the vehicle came to a final rest in a westbound ditch line. Price came to a final rest in the middle of Highway 70.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol did not issue any citations or charges.
