Overton Condenses To Two Shelters, One Open In Rickman

Overton County has condensed its emergency shelters down to two after power was restored in Monroe.

EMA Director Chris Masiongale said the First Christian Church in Livingston and the I AM Worship Church in Rickman are open as shelters. Masiongale said the Red Cross is assisting First Christian Church with its shelter.

He said power being restored to Monroe cut the number of outages from 6,000 to 3,000. Masiongale said work is still being done to restore power in Overton County, but there is no firm date on a time.

First Christian Church in Livingston is located at 320 Oakley Street. I AM Worship Church in Rickman is located at 4483 Cookeville Highway.
