Over 45 Percent Of Putnam Votes Came Early Or By Mail Ballot

Over 45 percent of Putnam County’s registered voters have voted early or by absentee ballot.

About 20,000 votes have already been counted with zero precincts reporting results from Election Day. About 19,000 registered voters came to the polls early with 2,500 sending in their ballots. Almost 48,000 residents are registered in the county.

In preliminary numbers, Algood’s liquor sale referendum has a early lead with 64 percent for legal sale with about 1,200 votes counted.
