Additional agencies are getting involved as the search continues for a missing hiker at Cummins Falls State Park.
That is according to State Park Manager Ray Cutcher, who said he could not disclose which agencies are joining the missing persons search. Cutcher said that the person might not even be in the park at this time.
He said they know the person’s vehicle was left at the park, and they are operating under the assumption they are still in Cummins Falls State park.
Thursday, Cutcher said that local agencies were assisting State Park Rangers. That includes Jackson County Rescue Squad, Jackson County EMS and volunteer fire departments.
