One Dead After Saturday I-40 Single Vehicle Accident

One person is dead after a Saturday afternoon accident on I-40 near mile marker 283.

39-year-old Andrew Defour of Florence, Texas was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup when the trailer being pulled behind the vehicle began to sway and caused Defour to drive off the left side of the roadway. Defour then overcorrected and drove off the right side of the roadway where the vehicle overturned.

Defour’s passenger, 26-year-old Sara Browne of Florence, Texas was killed in the accident. Defour sustained injuries.
