At last night’s Crossville City Council meeting, the council voted unanimously to approve a third and final reading of an ordinance amending Crossville Municipal Code 10-202 regarding the humane restraint of dogs; a second reading of an ordinance to spend $25,000 on dog-park equipment; and a first reading of an ordinance to amend Crossville Municipal Code regarding open burning.
The council also unanimously approved applications for Public Entity Partners’ Property Conservation Matching Grant Program and Outside Sewer requests for three addresses on Prentice Street; approval of an interlocal agreement with the Crab Orchard Utility District, change orders for the Interchange Business Park/Site Development and an engineering contract amendment for Sewer System Rehabilitation Project 2017, as well as an amendment to the Granicus Services Agreement.
A motion regarding four bid/purchase items also passed unanimously. These included the purchase of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4×4 for the police chief, proposals for cable and broadband services and the purchase of Clean Agent Fire Suppression for the municipal server room. Mayor Mayberry explained the council hashed out all the necessary discussions regarding each item during its recent work session, and that these decisions were not made lightly.
