Monterey will reopen Meadow Creek Park, Bee Rock, and the City Walking Trail Thursday.
Mayor Bill Wiggins said the moves follow Governor Lee’s decision to lift the statewide at-home order. Wiggins said the three facilities will be available for day use. City Hall, Whittaker Park, the Monterey Depot Museum and the tee-ball fields will remain closed because of difficulties with social distancing.
“We’re still in a defensive mode in Monterey and getting back to normal boils down to personal responsibility,” Wiggins said. “I urge the public to help keep our parks open by doing their part to stay apart by maintaining proper social distancing.”
