The Live Well Clinic in Monterey will be named in honor of Dr. Larry Reed after approval during Monday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
Mayor JJ Reels said that Dr. Reed was instrumental in bringing the clinic to Monterey. Reels said that Dr. Reed sponsored the nurse practitioners for the clinc.
Dr. Reed gave back to the community of Monterey by doing things like purchasing a tractor for the Lions Club Disaster Relief Team and helping to purchase ID’s for children.
Reels said there would be a plaque at the clinic designating it as the Dr. Larry Reed Building. Dr. Reed passed away in December, 2020 from COVID-19 complications.
