A 20-year-old Monterey man was killed in a single vehicle accident over the weekend in Putnam County.
Justin Galvez was driving east on Highway 70 near Hunter Cove Road late Saturday night when he veered off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. The car then rolled onto its top and came to a final rest, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report.
Galvez was wearing his seat belt. He graduated from Monterey High School in 2020.
