Monterey Boil Water Advisory Lifted

Monterey officials lifted the Boil Water Advisory Thursday after getting the all clear from state officials.

Parts of the community spent some 30-plus hours under the advisory after a water pipe failed Wednesday morning. The lifting of the advisory means the water is again safe to drink. State officials test the water for different bacteria and other substances.

The advisory impacted only areas around the water plant.
